Nestie Vibes please

I have my surgery this morning to remove the polyp on my vocal cords.

its relatively minor all things considered but I am still going to be put to sleep for it and there are always potential complications when it comes to anesthesia.

I'll update later and let y'all know how it went.

  • Thanks ladies. The surgery went well. The worst part was getting the IV, and then waiting for the surgery to start. I was so hungry and thirsty.

After it was over the nice nurse in the recovery room spoon fed me a lot of ice. I was so happy!

First thing we did after we left the hospital was to get a strawberry milkshake from McDonald's. it was the best milkshake ever.

I've been napping on and off all day while hubby has been running out to get me my prescriptions and soft foods to eat. I can't have anything spicy or too hot. Right now I'm eating cold mashed potatoes and they taste so goood! (especially after only eating jello and yogurt all day)

I'm on  a steroid to prevent swelling and a liquid version of hydrocodone for the pain (never had that before and it sure makes me feel woozy, but my throat definitely doesn't hurt!)

so far the no talking thing has been ok. by Sunday evening I will definitely be ready to use my voice.

  • Glad things are going well so far! Take it easy, and enjoy DH waiting on you(:)
