trying to pull the trigger**updated**
I think I'm quitting my job today. I've told you ladies a few of the horror stories from my time here but I think I've just finally reached my boiling point. I'm having trouble actually saying the words.
I need to quit. I'm being emotionally and verbally abused and I can't take it anymore.
Sorry for the vent but I'm terrified of how long it will take me to find a new job. DH is completely supportive and wants me out of here today but it's so hard to just up and quit.
**I did it! I spoke to the head of HR but now the fun part of telling my actually a**hole of a boss. Thank you so much for all of your support today ladies!!!**
Re: trying to pull the trigger**updated**
Do it.
If you have the money to quit and you're being verbally abused, get the hell out of there.
I understand how hard it can be to leave a job (especially if you've been there for a while)... but from what you've told us, I think you need to seriously get the eff out of that building. You are way too amazing to put up with crap like this.
Don't be scared... easier said than done, I know. But you are a warrior, chica. Seriously. You quit smoking, which is harder to quit than heroin (according to certain studies), you've dealt with some really difficult things in the past 3-4 months. Like I said, you're soooo strong, a total warrior and you don't deserve to be treated badly. You deserve to be treated with respect and to be happy.
Just think of the weight off your shoulders when you walk out of that place and NEVER have to go back... it'll be like the shackles coming off of a genie!
You'll be free!
i don't remember all the background, but if you work for a larger company you should talk to HR first and file a complaint about the abuse. maybe they can place you under a different management or department.
sounds like you're pretty set on quitting though ... good luck! be brave. and try not to get emotional over it. show no fear!!!!!! lol, i just remember quitting my first real job and i cried when i was doing it, felt so stupid.
Ditto everything AT said!
That's awesome!
How did HR react? Are they going to speak with your boss about him being a douche?
