So I've had this giant lump on my hand for about a year, but I've been a slacker and haven't seen anyone about it. I finally got a referral from my primary physician (i.e. student health), to go and see an orthopedic. He drained it (ew) and is going to see if it comes back, where it would need to be surgically removed. They think it was caused by the build up of joint fluid, but if it comes back, it could potentially be something more serious... so fingers crossed!
And.... the orthopedic resident who drained it was super dreamy. Made it a little better haha.
Re: Morning doctors appt
Ortho residents, being so concerned with the body, are usually pretty fit. I worked in the Ortho department at Northwestern University for a while... lots of eye candy to be had.
But the stereotype is true. Beautiful men date beautiful women. Lots of gorgeous wives.
Keep us posted on the hand!
Fingers crossed it stays away!!
Gotta love dreamy doctors!! My new OB looks like McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy!!
Haha. I think I'd be too embarrassed for a dreamy OB. lol.
I was the same way, it took me forever to make this appointment. But it wasn't too bad. I was in and out in about 90 minutes or so.
Same here! I only ever go to women OBs.
