So Gufurr, Stefriz and I were walking back to the cars after book club, probably 10:30 pm, downtown. We saw an older lady (50s? 60s?) That was screaming "BELLLLAAAAA" to this spazzy little dog (Yorkie-size, but mutt-ish and wet) that was running back and forth to her and away. She's dangling a leash with a harness but can't seem to get a hold of the dog to get her back in there.
"BELLLLAAAAAA" zip, zip, zip
"BELLLLAAAAAA" zip, zip, zip
She's obviously freaking the dog out even more bc it can't even figure out what to do. The next time she screams "BELLLAAAA" we couldn't stop laughing (in my car) bc the dog is standing next to her staring up at her with the leash.
So I start the car and drive away s-l-o-w-l-y bc there's a wild dog and I don't want to hit it. The lady is a good driveways distance away. She lunges at us and screams "Thanks a lot, BITCHES!" I didn't look around, but I don't think any of us could control our laughter. I felt bad but seriously? Calm down and stop scaring the bejeesus out of your poor dog!
Judge if you will, but I laugh as I type.
Re: Funny after book club (not related to BC)
I usually feel bad after these types of exchanges, but the whole situation was so bizarre. The dog just wanted to play, and I kind of think she would have followed if the woman kept walking into her condo building.
That sounds hilarious!
In my head, I'm imagining the dog's name is STELLA.
