good Thai restaurants?

Does anyone know of a good Thai restaurant, preferably on the eastern side of the metroplex?  There aren't too many good restaurants in my neck of the woods so I'm used to driving but Frisco, Plano, etc. and those areas are just too far.

Re: good Thai restaurants?

  • Nandina's and Royal Thai are good.  My favorite is Noodle Wave in Richardson (BYOB!).
  • I love Royal Thai and Banana Leaf is pretty good too.

I've never heard of this place, but I think I need to try it.  What do you like to order there?

I get the jungle beef (curry-like flavor with rice noodles).  It is super spicy though so watch out!  I've gotten a few other things and have liked everything.  The shopping center it is in is pretty dicey, but there is a liquor store next door if you forget to BYOB.

  • I love Bangkok City at the corner of Peak and Bryan St, near Baylor.  I've heard good things about Naga Thai in Victory Park, but haven't tried it yet.
  • I like Best Thia in the Addison area and also River Spice up at the tollway and Frankford.
  • I also like Bangkok City on Bryan St. or Toy's Cafe on Lemmon.
