Dresses!
So I've been looking at the Maggie Sottero destination collection...that is where the dresses were from that Andrea posted if yall remember.
This one isn't in Louisville...I'd have to go to Cincy and is $850! yikes!
This one is in Louisville and is $799! ouch! lol Who even knows if either of them would look good on me but geez louise! How much did you guys pay for your dress?

Try looking into one of the online retailers. I got my dress at Pearl's Place (it's an actual brick and mortar store in Lousiana) and it was a good $400 or so less than what a store wanted for a similar dress. (I never actually found my dress in a store, so I ordered on faith and it worked out in my favor lol)
Anyway, Netbride and House of Brides are similar in that they are actual stores that do internet/phone order deals.
There were a few other similar sites I believe. I found all of this on the knot's Dress board way back in the day.
Gah.. And now I'm looking at wedding dresses when I don't need to. Would it be weird to do a TTD shoot two years after the wedding? lol
Also, it would appear my planning bio got killed when the knot changed formats. Boo.

Go try the dress on at an actual store, but buy it from a reputable online dealer. You'll save a lot. I'm so in love with that second one it's ridiculous.

If budget is an issue also take a look at bridesmaids dresses. You can order them in white and they're sometimes just as nice but can be much more affordable. If I hadn't found my dress for free on Craigslist I was thinking of getting this one. Raylia has a ton of super cute BM dresses that could rock as a wedding dress for under $200!

I love #2 also. So feminine. The first is way too formal for what you're doing.
Try JCrew for dresses...they have some more casusal styles and I don't think they're that expensive. I know that White House Black Market also just launced a wedding dress line but I haven't seen it yet.
You could get a better deal if you can buy off the rack if you find something that the store is closing out from last season.
both are beautiful, but i also like the second one a little more for the island wedding. you are going to be gorgeous!
