I am in shock at the death of a friend from elementary school (we stayed in touch and see each other a few times a year). B was an amazing person. Truly a good soul with lots of love to give. He loved cats and did alot of volunteer work with our local animal shelter. Buuuut, he also abused recreational drugs and steroids...for years. He had a heart attack on the 19th, tests showed he had a very damaged heart and 4 blockages in his arteries. He had a massive heart attack yesterday afternoon and passed away. So tragic, he just turned 33 years old. I am shocked, but not surprised...does that make sense?
Re: Death at 33 :(
That makes sense. You knew he was engaged in an unhealthy lifestyle and this was a possibility. It's still a shock though when it actually happens.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.
(((HUGS))) I am so sorry.
My university roommate's husband (who also lived with me for almost a year) died last week. He was 42. He had a 19 year old daughter (previous relationship), a 2 1/2 year old daughter and a baby due in 3 weeks. They live in Northern Ontario, and his ATV went through the ice on the lake and he drowned. Took 2 days to locate his body. I am so sad for my friend, but a little part of me is thinking "what the HELL was he doing on the ice in the middle of March".
So I get exactly what you mean.
(((HUGS)) to his family.
