I've been thinking about the anniversary, but we still have to plan our honeymoon. We are waiting until I am done with my clinicals this semester.

You have any ideas brewing already?

ugh I hear ya! We are finally doing our official honeymoon next month. We keep talking about a European cruise so I'm hoping we can pull it off for our 1 year anniversary. I'm already researching though... LOL.

It's still a long time away and since I spent over a year planning for the wedding I don't feel the need to plan as long for the first anniversary.

We'll definitely be doing something quiet just the two of us, nothing extravagant. We don't need anything big to celebrate our love and we don't have to time or money to do so. We just need the two of us.

We'll probably do something huge on our 20th or 25th anniversary, it seems like a bigger deal to make it that far with out killing each other first, teehee.

Um we aren't going to do anything huge. I think that we are going to go stay at the inn they we stayed at after the wedding for the weekend. They have really beautiful rooms and its about an hour and a half from where we live, so not too far. It will be very sentimental for us to stay there again. Probably do something big for a bigger anniversary like 10 or 20 years. Good luck on planning a European cruise...that would be awesome I'm sure!

I wanted to go to Europe for our honeymoon, but he nixed that idea. Even considered Australia, but he shot that down too. Guess we are doing New York City. We both never been there and are excited to go. If any of you have tips for us, please share!

I haven't introduced myself yet, but I was on TK, but mostly on my local board. My name is Amber and my DH is Derek. We were married on January 30th.

As soon as we got back from our honeymoon I was obsessed with planning a trip back to the same place for our anniversary. DH thinks I am crazy! 3 weeks after we got back from our honeymoon we had booked a trip back to Jamaica. We will have to save every month to go, but I can't wait. DH is excited, but still thinks I am nuts : )

We won't be doing anything big for our first anniversary because of my rotations- but I'm planning on doing a Boudoir session for him as a gift. Our big trip is going to be in the fall before our second anniversary when we have the time to do Thailand- which was where we wanted to go for our Honeymoon- but couldn't because I had to get back to school (we did Mexico instead). I'm REALLY looking forward to the Boudoir session AND our trip...even though they're both pretty far off!

I have no idea what we'll do, if anything. Neither of us know at this point what jobs we'll have by then or where we'll be living. Most likely we'll just go out to dinner or something. I'd sure love to go back to Hawaii where we had our honeymoon, but that's definitely not going to happen.

I don't know yet. Our anniversary is New Year's Day, so we keep saying maybe we'll do something awesome for NYE ...

DH's birthday is in May, and we both have vacation near his birthday ... still trying to figure out what to do with that ... maybe I should get through the birthday first, lol.

we wont be doing anything big...we cant take any trips because the 2nd of january will always be the day that we go back to school from christmas vacation (unless its on a weekend)...

...our reception site has an amazing new years eve gala that is black tie, open bar lots of amazing food...so we're going to go...i cant wait!

...we're thinking about doing a destination renewal of vows for our 10th though...so we'll see!

I just did b-pics last weekend (because I won a freebie!) so that's what he'll be getting. As for what we'll do...it depends on what happens in the next year. If he doesn't get a part time job in the next how many ever months, he'll be quitting his awful full-time overnight gig to student teach. We will definitely have to celebrate that! Maybe we'll combine it with an anniversary celebration and take a weekend away or something.

Nothing too crazy or expensive, that's for sure.

I was thinking of doing b-pics too! I thought it worked out perfectly that the first year anniversary is "paper", so it's a cute twist on that. We wanted to go on our honeymoon for our 1 year but as it turns out, H only gets 1 week of vacay/year with his sh*tty a$$ job and he has to use it for his brothers wedding this May. GRR! I swear I am never going to get my freaking honeymoon!

The only certain thing is that our venue invited us back for a dinner on them for our first anny, so we'll be doing that, and maybe staying at the Inn where we stayed on our wedding night. Other than that, it's tough to say where we'll be at that point. I really don't know if we'll do anything "big".
