Can I vent real quick?

Sometimes Aaron gets really winey and complains over the stupidest things and it really gets on my nerves.  We work about 1/4 of a mile away from one another so we are driving into work together.  In the morning I drop him off at the door of his office building, but then in the evening  he wants me to pick him up at like 5:05.
Umm... excuse me.  I don't leave the office until 5 or sometimes a few minutes later.  Then I have to walk to my car and get it out of the garage and drive in rush hour to his office building.  In the time it takes me to walk to my car and get it to his office building he could have walked the 1/4 of a mile to get to the garage and just meet me there!  Plus driving over to his office puts me in an office position to get out of the city during rush hour.  All the traffice backs up right at his office building.  I get it if its raining or snowing or something, but the sun is out today!

GRRRR!!!! Vent over.  Thanks for letting me get that out.

  • Hehehe... aren't the things that our husbands get hung up over just splendid? Ted has things he gets similarly upset about. I don't get it. I usually just ask him what the big deal is (bluntly but kindly), when he thinks about he sometimes figures out he's upset over something very minor.

eta: I think it's awesome you guys carpool to work! Ted & I work in completely opposite directions from our house.

  • Umm...I walk almost 1/4 mile just to get to my parking garage at work. He needs to suck it up, plus walking is good for youSmile

I'm annoyed at my hubby today too. His one household job is to put the garbage out, but he's only remembered to once in the nearly two months we've been here. Today was garbage day and I came home to find all the garbage still in the garage, grrrr! I just don't understand, when he leaves for work does he not see everyone else's garbage cans?!

  • Guys are great.  Maybe you should suggest that he drive and drop off and pick you up so that he can see it from the other side.
  • The other day I realized that husbands get second mothers, and wives get grown children. LOL. I swear sometimes I think that's how it works.

Absolutely. If I have boys, I'm going to raise them differently.
