My boss (who is a general contractor) did a walk through with us this morning. He affirmed that most of the issues were cosmetic. He suggested that we go ahead and completely redo the kitchen while we are at it but I am not so sure that is a great idea (eventually we would def want to redo the kitchen but I don't want to bite off more than we can chew initially). The immediate needs are appliances, all new flooring, new molding, and new paint. He gave us what he thought we should offer (which was A LOT lower than the asking price). We didn't feel comfortable going quite that low but we did put in an offer lower than the asking price. Our agent isn't confident that the bank will accept the initial offer but we will see what they come back with. I am both very excited and very nervous!
