Ok for Christmas I got DH tickets to the football HOF and the rock and roll HOF.  Our plan is to drive to Canton, do the football HOF, then head to Cleveland for 2 nights.  The main goal is the rock and roll HOF but we'd also like to check out Great Lakes Brewery.  I was trying to figure out if there are any hotels there, or something that we could do to avoid drinking and driving...  I'm not too familiar with the subway there but it looked like one of the lines (maybe the red line?) is close to there.  How is the subway in Cleveland?

I also found a B&B near there but Dave does NOT like those, so we're looking for a hotel.  Preferably not super expensive...

And Carapeace, aw, too bad it's a different state!  I didn't know there was another Cleveland.  :)

  • I haven't been to Cleveland since college but any of the downtown hotels (Marriott, Renaissance, etc) should be within a few blocks of the Brewery.  If it ends up being too far to walk you can always take a cab.  If you can't just find one on the street (which you should be able to do) the hotel and brewery can call one for you.  The hotels may also have a free shuttle that you can use because the Brewery will definitely be inside any mile radius they have.

I've never heard particularly good things about their train system so I'm not going to recommend it.

    Sounds like a fun trip!

Ok, thanks!  I wasn't sure if any of that was walkable- both distance wise or safety wise...
