i just started working as a personal assistant for a man who has difficulty using the phone or computer do to migraines. he wants to be able to fax notes to my email. im looking online at different programs and sites that allow you to do it, but im a bit overwhelmed and the sites are obnoxious. anyone have a site or program to recommend? cost is a factor.

Re: recommend your fax to email program

  • How much is efax?  My realtor used that to send/ recieve docs and it worked great every time.
  • I use Faxage.com. It has a low monthly fee (I think it's $2) and a low cost for each fax, and I have a dedicated fax number. Everything else I checked that was cheaper did not offer a dedicated line. I can send and receive, and get it in my e-mail or on their website.

I have a very low fax volume though, so if he will be faxing you quite a lot it might be cheaper to go with somebody who has a higher monthly fee and lower per fax charges.

  • I use efax and it's a RIP.  It's $17 a month plus I pay $.10 per page for each outgoing fax.  Reason why I did it is because I was able to transfer my phone number (which was important to me since I already had it printed on my biz cards).  Since I'm about to run out of cards -I'm going to get a different number and go the cheaper route.

  • We've used eFax in the past but DH's company paid for it at the time so I had no idea it was so expensive.
