2. How often do you do things with your MIL w/o DH? Whenever they are in town from FL, or whenever we are over there. Right now it's only once or twice a year, but before that it was all the time.
3. How often do you talk to your MIL on the phone? At least twice a week, DH speaks to his parents everyday.
4. How do you feel your overall relationship is with her? Perfect, she loves me. She's a great MIL, I have no complaints...aside from the constant reminder on where her grandkids are at, and her wish to be a grandma.this made me lol

2. Before we were married we did stuff together. Now that we are married we never do anything together. I ask her to go places, do things...nope. Unless it's a family outing for a birthday she won't leave her house with me.

4. It was very good but it seems to have gone down hill. This bothers me. I try, but I feel I get nothing back.
1. I'd say I'm kind of close. There's always been a bit of physical distance between us which I think has stopped the relationship from getting really close.
2. Once when I was shopping for wedding dresses. I wanted her to feel included so I found a few dress shops that had dresses I was interested in and we went together.
3. Hardly ever. We email every now and then, but that's about it.
4. I feel it's good and that it'll get deeper/better over time. I really feel like I lucked out in the IL lottery.

1. I wouldn't call us close, but I'm happy to stay in contact and we get along well.
2. We live far away, so only see her once or twice a year. Usually involves dinner or going somewhere for a few hours at a time.
3. We talk on the phone maybe twice a year at most? Now that she's on facebook it's easier to ping her.
4. I'd say the relationship is good. It's comfortable at her house. Sometimes it gets annoying being around for long periods of time...but that's just her personality. Overall I think she loves and cares about her son, respects me and is elated to be looking forward to a grandchild
I'm more then content with that...and feel pretty lucky.

4. How do you feel your overall relationship is with her? It's pretty good it's more of a love hate relationship on my end LOL I love her but for instance they've never celebrated Easter but this year they are which really put a damper on my day sincce I was hoping to spend it with just my family.

2. How often do you do things with your MIL w/o DH? she lives in NJ, so not often, though when we are in town to visit, she and i usually at least go get manis/pedis. we spend a lot of time chatting together to while the boys do their boy things.
3. How often do you talk to your MIL on the phone? TJ talks to them every day...it has been a bit more that i call her on my own since i got pregnant and josie arrived, but as you can probably imagine, TJ is better than i am at keeping them updated.

How do you feel your overall relationship is with her? really good. of course we each have our moments of annoyance, whatever, but overall, she is wonderful to me and i try to be wonderful back. i know its really hard that her first granddaughter is so far here in florida, so i try to be more understanding than usual.

4. How do you feel your overall relationship is with her? Its great. Im married to "The Golden Child" so I feel like shes nicer to me than she would be if I were married to BIL instead of DH. Shes a great person and very caring, just quirky. BIL is only 14 so hes doing 3 million different sports and shes super busy. We email occasionally, and DH talkes to her about every other day.1. Are you close with your MIL? Yes - she only has boys so we get along great
2. How often do you do things with your MIL w/o DH? They live in MD so we only see them every few weeks but usually we'll make an effort to spend some alone time together. They are really great about finding time to come up to NYC and see us (especially now that BIL/SIL live here too).
