How was everyone's weekend?
Ours flew by so fast! We had Friday off for our anniversary, but still the weekend just went by. We had a nice dinner Friday night after running errands all day. Saturday we spent truck shopping, and then dog sitting. Sunday we had a shower to go to. Here it is Monday morning and I am already looking forward to next weekend!
Re: How was everyone's weekend?
Ours flew by too! DH bought a new car Friday so we took it for 1/2 price apps and drinks and for a ride Friday evening. I spent the better part of the weekend housebreaking the foster, so I wasn't away from home for long periods of time. Saturday was boring-errands, but then we met up with our friends for dinner.
Yesterday we had severe thunderstorms so we grocery shopped then stayed in and watched Law Abiding Citizen and I took a nap
And yes, now it's back to work.
What kind of car did your DH get, Punky?
Ours flew by too. My grandfather had a setback last week; a bit of dementia seems to have set in and he managed to walk out of his nursing home unsupervised and was missing for six hours. The state police found him walking either onto or on the Mass Pike
So I spent most of the end of the week and the weekend (1) alternately getting info from the nursing home and ripping them a new one, (2) transferring my grandfather from one hospital to another because the home put him in Dorchester for some reason, which takes anyone in the family about an hour to get to, and (3) trying to figure out next steps.
I did manage to play in a volleyball tournament on Sunday that I had committed to some time ago. We went undefeated in pool play and then somehow lost in the finals--boo!
And I'm definitely ready for the weekend again already.
Ours was really nice. Friday we stayed in and went to bed early. The dog was sick again, so it was good to rest because he had us up and down all night. Saturday we picked my car up from the shop and then went to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It was excellent! Saturday night I had drinks and dinner with a friend at Bin 26- really good. And Sunday I went to the Boston Flower Show with a couple friends.
So funny--we bought a new car too. Well a truck for H. Ha h aha.
Geeze, Rock. I would have lost my sh!t- sounds like you did too. Wow. I am so glad he is okay though, he could have really been hurt. I hope they are ashamed of themselves.
Dh got an Infiniti G37. Now we are just going to sell the civic and get my car paid off a year early!
Oh fun!! What did he get?
Ours was good, but also flew. I feel like now that DH is working a part time job, our weekends fly because I measure them by the time we are together, if that makes any sense. :-/
Saturday he went to a bachelor party, which unfortunately for him was a disaster. I went to a bridal shower (not for the same wedding haha) which was very fun.
I also went to BuyBuy Baby during the day so that was fun! I have been dying for it to open haha :-)
Yesterday he worked, so I just hung around the house and did some cleaning. Started reading The Time Traveler's Wife finally, it's really good!
Oh man, that stinks Rock!
I'm so glad they found him! My grandfather has advanced Alzheimers and he's going into full time care this Wednesday in Bedford. Last week, when they tested him with 30 easy questions, he scored a 2. He pretty much has no vocabulary (and bad knees so hopefully he's not a flight risk).
My weekend was actually so much fun and super busy! Friday night I worked at the hotel till 11pm and then had to be back at 7am the next morning. That day was so busy too, I stayed until 4:30. Then I went to Reading to visit the SIL and BIL with my DH. They just got a brand new 55", LED TV so we watched Star Wars (BIL's favorite movie) and had dinner from Bertucci's. We were there for the whole evening, drinking wine and have a great time. I also found out that when they get a new sofa set, they are giving us their old set (which I love! SIL has great taste
)!
Sunday morning DH took me to Acton to go candlepin bowling. I lost (but only by 2 points, lol) but it was a lot of fun. Then we went to Natick and had lunch at the Met Burger Bar and had dessert of coconut gelato. Yum, yum! Then I he dropped me off at work and thankfully it was a slow night.
Today I'm just lounging around the house and I'll have to do grocery shopping and maybe some extra shopping too (for myself).
F-150. We had an F-150 until this past November. Then that broke down and we decided to trade it in for an Explorer for me. H figured he would drive my old car for a while and then trade it in for a new truck.
I'm super jealous of all those who bought new cars this weekend, how fun! And I'm glad your grandpa is okay, Rock!
My weekend was okay, worked on Saturday which was no fun (we get the craziest/crankiest customers on the weekend!) And yesterday was mine and Dh's 6 year dating anniversary. We had planned to make reservations at some fancy restaurant for last night but we never could decide on where to go so we ended up going out around 1 to Richardson's for ice cream and then we went to PF Changs for the first time, it was really good! Then we came home and watched our netflix copy of Zack and Miri Make a Porno which was really funny. That was about it.. I'm off today but plan on sitting on my butt since it's so nasty outside..
