help me find some shoes :)

I want to get one pair of shoes to go with several new dresses that I have gotten recently.

Requirements:

need to go with several different colored dresses (navy, purple, fuchsia, white with bright mutlicolored flowers)

be able to wear hose with them (is it OK to wear hose with sandals? I kinda thought that might be a no-no but have seen it before)

not too high- I'm 6' tall and same height as my husband, but I would be willing to do 2 ish inches

inexpensive

Any ideas on at least what color and style I should be looking for?

Re: help me find some shoes :)

  • Hm, I personally don't like hose w/ sandals. Not that I haven't done it myself or seen it on others, but I prefer to avoid it. Is there a specific reason you'd like to wear hose (for church? pale legs?) Closed toe shoes seem kind of weird w/ dresses, so I think I'd rather wear sandals w/ hose than closed toe shoes with dresses if the hose is a must.
  • not just pale, but pasty :-p also, I inherited my mom's lovely spider and varicose veins.

  • I dunno. My mom always said her legs were great before kids. In fact, she never really made an effort to cover them up post kids, which I admire her for. I just don't know if I have the same guts. These might work OK w/ hosery, though they might be taller than you want. I'm just lookign for ones that cover some up on the toe area so the hose isn't as obvious:
