Spring is making me antsy!!
even though the weather sucks today, it will be awesome starting tomorrow and I am so excited to start doing outdoor activities!! It's making it difficult to concentrate on work. I already got out to REI to buy a pair of Keen hiking shoes I'd been eying and I'm ready to take them out. We might hit up a state park this weekend, and at the end of April I'll be in Colorado for a conference but am sneaking away to visit my brother in the mountains for some hiking or rafting (he's a guide) :-). I will also be in Peru in 2 months and will get some good outdoor activities in there.
What are you all looking forward to this Spring??
Re: Spring is making me antsy!!
I love spring and in never seems to last long enough!
I'm really looking forward to all of the flowers blooming everywhere, walks at the park, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and bbq's! DH and I are talking about buying a grill so hopefully we'll do a lot of that this spring/summer.
I'm looking forward to the Phillies! It's going to be nearly 80 here on Friday and we're going to be in my company's box (which is right behind home plate) watching the first pre-season game. What a way to kick off Spring and baseball season!
I'm also looking forward to being able to come home and go for a nightly walk. I usually start when daylight savings begins, but so far we've been plagued by rain here in Philly.
This! And a bonfire with friends.
Where in CO does your brother live?? I LOVE Colorado! We have friends in the Denver area and try to get out there to visit as much as we can. DH & I really want to move there eventually, it's our 2-4 year plan... depending on various circumstances.
It's kind of weird living in CA because there really isn't any reason we can't partake in any activities we want to, any season throughout the year... at least that is true for So Cal, where I live. It may be a bit cold for us in the Winter, but it's not like we have snow or sleet that keeps us in doors for a few months at a time. I would say that typically for me, Spring = Summer, and that means trips to the river with my family. This year DH doesn't have any vacation time so we probably won't be able to go on those trips (unless my family goes somewhere more local).
Bummer, but... it's all a part of life & growing up I suppose. There's always next year!
This is exactly our situation. If my husband could find a job out there we would be able to survive in his salary alone for a while, maybe forever. We could for sure get by with my only working part time. Right now my husband works 30 minutes from home, but I work 90 minutes from home. Unlike you, we would be moving away from our families (not necessarily a bad thing). I would really miss my family, but a little distance from my IL's could make the heart grow fonder
Raising children here wouldn't be the worst thing, we could make it work, but I like the way of life in CO much better, and I like that people there still have manners & respect for others! lol.
we have a lot in common - my commute is also 90 minutes, but my husbands is a little bit shorter than yours!
