Kathleen Parker post-debate essay in WashPo
She wrote this essay after Palin's debate, praising her but continuing to express doubt. Some of you have probably figured out at this point that although I love McCain, I am seriously disturbed by Palin. My reasons are multi-faceted, but Parker comes darn close to summing them up in a single sentence, which I think is applicable to Palin's entire campaign, not merely her debate performance:
Palin's strategy throughout the evening was to avoid questions to which she didn't have answers and rely on the American people to like her so much they didn't care.

Re: Kathleen Parker post-debate essay in WashPo
I was really curious to hear what Parker thought about the debate given her last two editorials. This seems like a pretty fair assessment, given where she's coming from.
I hope Parker keeps us updated as her views evolve. I find the reaction of conservatives in the press to Palin almost as interesting as Palin herself.
