We decided to keep the puppy (yay!). The puppy did a very good job selling himself. David named him "Natchez." He learns pretty quickly too. He can sit, stay, heel, shake, but lying down is still confusing for some reason - he just doesn't get it. He no longer jumps all over the door when we go inside, and he is very calm. We took him on a walk yesterday and he ignores other dogs who are walking or barking from behind a fence, he ignored squirrels. He did very well. The only thing that he is doing bad now - pulling the tomatoes and herbs out of the pots - it's super annoying.
And, this is his favorite place to sit...

I'm so happy ya'll decided to keep him. I can't see the picture here at the office, but I'll take a look tonight when I get home.
Awesome! I have also bribed him/her with an easter basket...
Love it! This kid has an easter basket AND a puppy waiting - what more could he/she want?!?
Glad you guys got to keep the puppy. Sounds like he's already pretty trained so that's a huge plus for you guys.
