Blogger Help

I'm trying to give my blog a more personalized look but honestly, I don't know what I am doing. I want to make a custom header and add tabs and what not. Anyone want to help me????

Re: Blogger Help

  • Whatcha need? As far as tabs, I just did easy hyperlinks along the bottom of my header. Some blogger layouts you can find have them embedded, but it's a pain to embed the code yourself.

  • Check out: http://www.ourblogtemplates.com/

That's where I got my blog template from and it's insanely easy to update the colors of their layouts, text, change fonts, etc!  Most of their templates have the link bar embedded, too, so you can easily just add your links to it.  See mine (link in sig) for an example of the link bar.

You can then just create a header with a photo in Photoshop or another image editor in the same pixel size that the template tells you in the description...then just click through blogger to change the header to your own.

If you have any other questions, just let me know!

  • For your hyperlinks, are they tags or static pages that have the info on them? I wanted to have a few links like yours using the 101 in 1001, etc.
  • Emailing you some screenprints. :)

  • I would be lost without you both ;)

  • Right now mine are links to different websites (Flickr, my old website) but I plan to create entries for pricing, contact information, etc and then link to those directly in my link bar, as well.  You can basically link to any URL in your link bar...whether it be directly within your blogger (e.g. - a specific entry you created) or to URLs external to blogger (favorite website, etc).
