wedding update
Still no ring lol
Umm, my 3 best friends from 8th grade will NOT be attending the wedding...yep, thats right, none of them! I am sad about it but at this point im just over it...I want them to be there soooo bad but if they can't then they can't. This is what Paul and I want to do so thats what we're gonna do and we are going to have the time of our lives!!
We have pretty much decided that we will have a full blown reception when we get home....is this a retarded idea? and I was thinking of wearing my dress...is that retarded? I want for everyone to be able to see me in my dress and to have our first dance and all of that traditional stuff that we wont be getting with everyone in Jamaica.
We have also decided to live together...we weren't going to at first but my mom made a good point about money and we sure do need to save a much as we can so it looks like that is going down July 1st!
Any thoughts on anything would be awesome!

i'm sorry that your friends are not coming to your wedding. i had my bachelorette party in NYC and i remember being disappointed when a few of my good friends didn't make the trip...i can't imagine how i'd feel if it was my wedding! although i had THE BEST time with the people who did come, and i know it will be the same for you.
i think having a reception when you get home is a great idea. it gives everyone a chance to see you in your dress and gives you the chance to do some of the more traditional wedding stuff (dances, cake, etc).
your wedding and all the celebrations will be wonderful, brit! i'm so happy for you!
I think having the reception at home is a great idea.. I have a few friends who did the same thing and yes they wore their gowns so everyone would ooohhh and ahhh over them
As for your best friends.. eh, i wouldn't worry too much about it...they can be included in your home reception if you want them too be but in the meantime.. screw it and have fun with everyone in Jamaica!

I had a friend have a DW - small, family only type thing, and then she came home and had a reception. Nothing uber huge but definitely a wedding reception. It was nice and I don't think its weird at all. I think it's fairly common now.
I think an AHR is a great idea- wear your dress, get your hair done again... what's not to love?

Nothing really in particular, he said if I want to wait until we were married that he totally would. I have been having some problems with aunt flo and I was wanting to get that checked out before we did and I had an appt the mon I was supposed to be home from LA but I was stuck at LAX and didn't make it!
