I ran to the mall on lunch and went through Kohl's. Found sunglasses (which mine needed to be replaced.)
Got up to checkout and the one cashier who's working says to the three standing around chatting "Can one of you help this woman please?" Great... score... no waiting for the other customer to finish checking out.
Until this lady turns around and says "OMG, get over here! LOL" She said it in a joking tone and when I looked at her I thought "I should know this person." She is a younger, but exact copy of Greg's uncle's wife, S,... whom doesn't really like us and the feeling is mutual. Now we've never met ANY of S's family except her mom. Apparently this Kohl's exact-copy of S knows who I am... but I've no clue. I even called Greg to say "Your Aunt S's sister/twin/evil creepy copy just checked me out at Kohl's."
So this woman is sitting there chatting me up... "How have you been? What have you been up to?" And then proceeds to be super shocked when I said I don't have a Kohl's card. Never have. No desire.
She gave me another 3 minutes on how I should. Normally, you give your excuse and they back off (you don't have one, don't want to use it, etc.) Nope. She was a VULTURE.
Thanks Crazy Lady... now I will NOT be returning to Kohl's anytime soon.
Re: Dear crazy lady at Kohl's....
I'm not sure. She knew my name somehow, which makes it super creepy. If she IS related to the Aunt, Greg nor I have never met her as we've never met that Aunt's family. That's why I called Greg - thinking maybe we'd been to something with S's family that I hadn't realized? No... he confirmed he's only met S's mom because S brings her to all of Greg's family functions.
