Aaron and I sat down and talked and retalked about the house for a few hours. We ultimately came to the decision that the reason we did not put an offer in 2 weeks ago was because we want to feel more stable with Aaron's new job and we still feel that way. As much as we wanted to put an offer in on the house we decided it was not the right time and we had too much doubt to feel secure in putting an offer in.
We are going to cool it with the house hunting for a few weeks and probably go back to it at the end of April / begining of May.
Re: F/U to House Update
It sounds like you guys made a good decision! We were in the last week of escrow with our house when DH got an offer for a better job that was close to home... he ended up taking it, but for the first 3 months (probationary period) it was always in the back of our minds that he could be let go for any reason, it was very stressful. He's since passed his probationary period and seems to be doing really well so it's not so stressful.
There will always be houses to buy! And I don't know how you feel, but I don't expect to stay in our first home forever, so I look at this as a stepping stone. There will be something just right for you guys when you are ready for it!
Sounds like you and Aaron talked it through a lot and definitely made the right decision. Who knows, maybe that house will still be on the market in a few months
This! I'm sure you're disappointed but it'll all work out.
