Re: Poll: Vegas Recs?!

  • I never really been to Vegas. My dad and I flew in and out of Vegas years ago and basically all we did was just drive down the strip. That's the extent of what I have seen of it.

Any urge to go or does it just not appeal to you? I flew in to Vegas once... I'm too impatient to fly now, it takes the same amount of time at airports and flying to actually get there, I usually just drive, lol.  I've been there quite a bit- DH and I like to go there for quick weekend getaways... but we always do the same thing... I'm going with some friends who haven't really done the Vegas thing, so I'm trying to think of new things to do / try.

  • I have wanted to go but it just has never worked out to do so.

I don't think I could ever justify flying from here to Vegas. When my dad and I did it, I was still living in Indiana and we came out this way to look at colleges. We basically flew in, picked up a rental car, visited some schools, then flew onto LA.

  • I just remembered!  I've stayed at the Flamingo and they have a little (tiny) zoo there.  Not sure if the tigers are still at the Mirage or not but they're kinda cool as is the volcano out front.  Also there's the free pirate show at TI.
