Ever used them?
I will confess, I snore. Unfortunately DH is a light sleeper. We've been having some problems with this lately, so I'm giving BreathRight Strips a shot tonight. Have it on right now, as i'm nesting in bed. We'll see how it goes. I'll report back in the morning in case anyone is interested.
Re: BreathRight Strips
I've used them before. I'm a major mouth breather when I sleep, since I just can't seem to get enough air in through my nose. When I use the strips, I can sleep w/ my mouth closed (in case you were interested).
I think they work really well. I need to use the clear ones, since my skin often reacts in weird ways to adhesives. Along with putting them on right, make sure you've got the right size.
I can also say that it's worth the extra money to get the actual brand name ones. The Life brand ones don't stay stuck on for more than an hour.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I have been thinking about getting them for DH. So for sure update us on how they worked. I have the TV on ALL NIGHT because of DH's snoring. If I have distracting background noise I can tune out the snore. IF I could get rid of the snoring I could stop watching TV 3am.
Although DH has been getting better because he has been working out and losing weight.
Well here's my review.... I used the clear ones, I think they were a smaller size, and the name brand. I too was concerned about how they would react with my skin. Skipping to the end here, but I was able to remove this this am, used a bit of warm water to help losen, was a bit of reddness, so I washed my face and it seems fine now.
As for the sleeping, I slept great... I usually do though. The fact that DH didn't kick me out of bed or make me switch sides was a good sign though. I tried to wake DH up before I left to get a review - he mentioned he got a good night sleep. SUCCESS! (Due to my elbow injury I'd been unable to sleep on the side I usually do, so DH and I had to switch sides of the bed for the past couple weeks - last night marked my first night back on my side, so there was an added sense of accomplishment.
I too am a mouth breather, so I really doubted that these would work but I guess they did. I'm also thinking that I did a bit of both mouth/nose breath, which is fine beacause I only snore if on my back.
Anyway, I give it two thumbs up. Not sure I'll want to wear one every night, but good to know for when DH has to get a good night sleep.
