What are you doing for Easter?
I have a pretty big catering order to get out Saturday morning and then I'm hosting DH's family on Sunday for lunch. I'm just excited that the weather is supposed to be great... slight chance of storms on Saturday but its supposed to be 70-80s all weekend.

hmm... well we don't really have plans. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous all weekend, so we'll probably make our first visit to the dog park w/Dill. Plus we ordered a grill that is getting delivered on Easter, so we'll probably grill somethin yummy just the 2 of us and eat outside.
We don't have any plans for Saturday since both my family and J's family are having dinner on Sunday.
I think we will do some major spring cleaning. J will probably mow for the first time. We will finish painting our bedroom (J did two walls yesterday and it looks great).
Sunday we already said we would go to J's grandparents for Easter dinner. At first I didn't mind, but now I am a little sad. This is the first year I will be missing my family's huge egg hunt. But, oh well, that is life.

DH is working all Saturday and Sunday morning, so me and Rufus will be going home to visit my family so I can see my new nephew Saturday. Then I'll come home Sunday afternoon to enjoy a rare Sunday afternoon with DH.
Megs, I'd check your dog park's rules. A lot require a pup to have the rabies vaccine and be a certain age before going to the park. Ours was 4 months.

We are going to SFIL's sister's house. It was supposed to be at MIL and SFIL's but because of his health problems, his sister offered to host. A little akward because I've only met them twice but less driving for us so I that will be nice.
DH works all day on Sat. so I am hoping to get some cleaning done.
Nothing really. DH is gone and we're planning on a trip up to the fam in late April.
I'll be making a tiny ham. Am trying to learn more about cooking...

We're going to my grandma's for brunch on Sunday. She normally hosts Christmas Eve, but she had heart surgery in December and wasn't recovered yet. So it's very important to her that she gets to host Easter. Plus, it means my five and two-year-old first cousins will be there, and I love watching kids hunt for Easter eggs!
Saturday is CLEANING DAY. Well, cleaning + finishing up any work I haven't gotten done this week.
If I were nearby, I'd totally invite you. Wanna come to South Texas with me?
We can have a huge doggie play date (with one annoying Yorkie in the mix).

Oh. God. No! If it were anywhere else, I'd be all over it though! My family seems to have radar and they'd know if I was nearby. I'd much rather avoid that situation altogether!
If the Navy would get our frickin orders to San Diego taken care of I'd totally have you over for Easter or something. Same boat, different coast. Kind of feeling the same way...but also kind of looking forward to a day to relax.

Consider yourself officially invited to New Hampshire. But also consider yourself warned...
I survived the RoLex wedding and all I got was this lousy husband.

I'm a Jew. And my only family member out here (besides DH) died two weeks ago. I am still rather upset with my cousins for a) snapping up the mink coat (not that I want a coat made of fur but I did want something of grandma's) and b) not coming to the funeral. Those are my two cousins out here. Seems to me like they pretty much don't care about family. And I have never once been invited to their house.
But I am trying to talk DH into hiding some eggs for me. Religion knows no bounds when it comes to candy.

Alex is Jewish. At his first Easter at my house (10 years ago-- he was 22), he ran around like a crazy person collecting eggs. We have video- all you see is him running from room to room diving to grab eggs before my (much younger) sisters could get to them. Since then, we've had to disqualify him for the sake of my sisters. High-larious. Who knew candy could be the religious equalizer?
