Yesterday, DH and I were driving around different neighborhoods to check out houses IRL--why bother keeping it on the list if it's garbage, right? Anyway, it was beautiful, the sun was out until almost 9, and (the best part), the flowering trees are starting to blossom! I saw a near-perfect magnolia tree last night...just give it another week and it will be perfect.
Why are you happy?
Matt loves Munkii!!!
Re: I'm so happy!
I'm happy because I'm off tomorrow, too (only I wish St. Louis and DC were closer so Cipolla and I could have margaritas - or a virgin daiquiri in my case- and get pedicures) BUT, the weather is supposed to be awesome, I won't have to listen to my annoying coworker blow her nose like a honking baboon (sorry, she was just doing it...so nasty), and I'll have beautiful toes for the BBQ we are going to on Saturday and our annual Easter get together with DH's family.

I'm happy because it's finally sunny and even though I can't go outside and enjoy it right now, the sun shining into my kitchen/office does wonders for my mood.
I'm also happy because after talking about it for so long, I'm finally heading over to my coworker's studio and trying bikram yoga for the first time tonight! I'm a little nervous about how not flexible I might be, but I know I can't be as bad as the other coworker who will be taking the class tonight!
I also finished a new hat last night and during a lull today (sshhh) made a color chart for the next project: a beret. I am slowly building up this inventory.

Seriously!
I could google this, but what is Bikram yoga? I worked with a girl who taught yoga and it was in a room that was maybe 150 degrees for hours? Is that it? She was annoying as crap but I thought that was very demanding/impressive. Oh and you need to start a blog, I want to see your creations!
I totally need to go in and get a good waxing too... there is a spa like 2 blocks from my house, so I usually call on my way home... but recently, I just haven't had the energy.
Bikram is essentially "hot yoga." I don't know much about the poses (yet), but you do it in 105 degree heat and it's supposed to be fairly intense. My friend tells me that you sweat A LOT and you can burn up to 500 calories an hour.
I have a blog! www.ephknit.blogspot.com I only update it about once a week because I just can't churn out projects any faster. The last post is the sweater that you guys have already seen, but you can go flip through and see older finished objects. I haven't posted the new hat because I really need to press it. If I have the time/motivation, I may do that tonight.

I'm happy because I've only got 25 minutes left before I can go home
DH is working tonight though so it's just me and the doggies.
That's exactly what she taught! Sounds intense...and impressive! Good Luck! Checking out your blog!
Oh, I'm also happy because I finished my art project on time, and the critiques went really well. We did a recreation of a "masterpiece" incorporating rhythm and texture into it. I did "La Pistola y El Corazon"--you may recognize it from Nicole's wedding pictures.
So awesome Munkii!!!!! You did an amazing job!!
Thank you, Nicole
Reine! Ok, I want the Stardust Cardigan, the Blue Mirasol Sweater, the Seed-Cabled Cardigan, Mr. Stegs, and the Lobster. You are soooo good! How do you do it?
Fabulous job Munkii! You are so talented!
And Reine- I would like to place an order for a pair of kingdom gloves, a shaw, a blue beret, and the balloon sleeve jacket. You are SO good! Watch out Calvin Klein...
Thanks so much! I just don't do a whole lot of anything else, lol.
The Stardust Cardigan was totally easy. Not quite a beginner project, but a really quick knit. The other sweaters were a little more involved. Mr Stegs and the lobster, though? Stash-busting quick projects. I think the cats lost that poor stegosaurus under the stove

What about a green beret (not a Marine, but a hat lol). I'm working on a pattern for one with some leftover green merino. And I'm cooking up some ideas for colorwork gloves with the same pink yarn as the Arisaig cardigan. I just can't knit them fast enough!
