urologist rec?

can anyone recommend a good urologist? we've got 2 weeks to make a decision regarding tubal ligation during my c-section vs. vasectomy. i'd like to compare costs before making this decision, and would like those numbers to be accurate so i'll cut (haha) to the chase by calling the urologist we would most likely use.

anyone have any experience with austin urologists? any i should seek out or avoid? thanks!

Re: urologist rec?

  • This is supposed to be the best guy in the city. All the guys I know who've had the snip have gone to him.  Yes, his name is really what it looks like:

    Dr. Richard "***" Chopp.

  • bwhahaha! that's awesome.
  • DH saw Dr. Kansas for his kidney stone. He likes him a lot. Same team as Dr. Chopp.

I just want to add that the practice also employs a Dr. Wang and a Dr. Hardeman (though I think that's pronounced "hard-a-man"). Tee hee!

There is no way that is all a coincidence. They must have sought each other out for the laugh factor!

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Want a funny one?  My OB/GYN office (when I first started going to them) had three doctors.   They were Cherry, Hooi, and Gooch.  No lie! Big Smile

Cherry and Hooi are still there but Gooch moved to the 38th St. practice.

  • i've been to dr. wang, and he was very nice, but i think i might try another urologist if i ever have to go again.  dr. rutledge was recommended to me by my primary care doctor, so she's probably who i'd go see.  she's in the same practice:  http://www.urologyteam.com
