Happy April Fools Day ladies...

Anyone fall for a joke or prank?

Or give a really good one?

Re: Happy April Fools Day ladies...

  • None here... we're boring...

Waiting for DH to have one when I come home...

  • Nothing here either.  I'm not big on April Fools Day though, so I'm hoping there aren't any pranks coming my way.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • My BF and her boyfriend called me from Korea to tell me they're engaged. I fell for it, but instead of saying, "Congratulations!" I said, "WHAT?! YOU'RE DOING WHAT?!" because I can't see her ever getting married (unless it's necessary for legal reasons).

I told her that making her boyfriend be on the call was what made it convincing. He's from Scotland so he was kind of skeptical of the whole thing . . . Maybe they don't do April Fools?

  • I got had...

The guys from our shop were just going on and on about one guys "roast" and wanted us (me and K-recepsionist) to try it. We did and then they tell us it's not roast it's cow's tounge. I thought K was going to barf. It was good actually but i hate when people make you eat unusual things with out telling you, I probably would have tried it even if they told me what it was. I just like to know.

But anyways I got had good I guess.

  • I had two so far. One really got me and the other I figured out after about 2 minutes.

The first was DH's cousin and her bf getting engaged. I knew they both said they were waiting till they graduated to get married, but she was talking to me a month or so ago about wanting to get married and how serious they were. I am still not sure it's an AF joke.

The other was a couple from work. They have been together for 8 or so years and have been engaged for about 6 months. Well, today they both went single on fb. The key to figuring it out was the guy couldn't leave it at we broke up. He said they had a fight about wedding planning and she flushed her ring...he was done with her. I knew then it was an AF joke. She's not irrational enough to flush her engagement ring. Plus, she isn't all into the wedding planning, so a fight over that is slim. Anyway, we told her we knew it was a joke and she ended up admitting it.

Personally, I would never joke about either of these. I just feel like it's a jinx or karma or something like that which will end up coming back to you.

I agree with that.  I have seen many pregnancy announcemnt turned april fools jokes on fb today and it just makes my stomach turn.

I haven't done any or fallen for any but almost fell for the LSU turning their field purple one for about half a second.  I watched many tiger fans fall for it and become furious.  Funny stuff.

  • I have a friend who (on FB) said she's engaged... hm. Now you have me wondering!
  • Only one - one of the guys told my boss and I that the heat treat machine had caught on fire...believable b/c it actually did a few months ago.
