Okay, so I feel a little bad about taking over the other happy thread. You ladies are so gracious and encouraging and it really makes me feel all the more confident about this Etsy venture. So thank you for all the kind words!
Nicoleabrock- I will definitely have to run out and get some cute cotton yarn. Baby things are an excellent (and quick!) idea.
What other sorts of things would interest you ladies? Lacy Berets? Cabled Gloves? Fingerless Mittens? It is seriously frowned upon to sell someone else's patterns, so existing things in my blog are out for the most part, but I have become pretty good at improvising new things. Sweaters, generally, take much too long as well unless they are knit in thick yarn. What do you look for in a knit?

I also would purchase thin scarves, that duster sweater, oven mitts, washcloths and toys (like the veggies you made!).
Here in CA it doesn't really get cold enough for mittens, gloves, or hats. If you think about your business nationally/globally, there is a lot of different markets you can specialize your products to. For example, I know that the Canadian Olympic mittens where huge sellers during the Olympics on the the Northwest and Eastern parts of the US.
What I look for in a knit- interesting designs, durability (sweaters are timeless and it is nice to have one for years and years), color is also very important. I love the ballet pink of your most recent wrap sweater.

I was just at Hobby Lobby and they had a catalog called 'Vogue Knitting' and they had scarves in there that are a complete circle? If that makes sense....it's like a wrap around your neck sort of like this:

But they were knitted and looked gorgeous!
I've heard of Vogue Knitting, but don't have a subscription. Do you mean a cowl? That would be totally doable--it's just a short scarf that you graft at the end. I would just need to figure out the dimensions to get the right kind of drape.
