Home Inspectors
DH and I are looking at purchasing our first home and I am wanting to see if you ladies have any advice on home inspectors.
1. How much did you have to pay to have your home inspected before you bought it?
2. Any Recommendations for one's you've used?

Re: Home Inspectors
1. I want to say that our inspection was about $400.
2. We used Precision Inspection and had a great experience!
P.S. Make sure you allot ~4 hours for an inspection --- it is very thorough and takes a while. (that is something that DH and I didn't anticipate and DH had to cancel a few meetings at work to stay with the inspector)
I used Burgess Inspection on a recommendation from my realtor, and was extreeemly please with Justin's work. I think the cost was around $300 (this was a little over a year ago). The company is located in RR, but they inspect all over (and around) the city.
I got to the house after he'd been there for about an hour and a half, and after he finished his work, he spent about 45 minutes to an hour explaining his report to me.
