I know we just did these earlier in the week, but anyone have anything else?
Re: Further Confessions?
I totally had a meltdown last night. I've been fairly quiet at home this week: work is completely sucking the life out of me and knowing that any day now, we could be pulled into a meeting and be told 1, 2, 3, or all 4 of us will be let go is gut-wrenching and the most disheartening, demoralizing thing ever.
**********************************************
I've screwed around A LOT this week during the day.
**********************************************
My CW's sister brought in her granddaughter just now, a little girl just over a year. She is one of the cutest little girls I've ever met and while she was here saying hi, I thought "See... that's why I am afraid to have kids. I'm not sure we can produce that kind of adorable-ness." I'm not confessing that because I want people to dispute it or make me feel better. It's been something I've semi-feared for a while - having an ugly child. Greg and I aren't exactly the most beautiful people in the world. We have pudginess going for us, so people seem to think that's super cute in babies.
**********************************************
ETA: for the vacation Greg & I have in May (the week of our anniversary), he decided he wants to do a road trip. Just "get in the car and drive." Even though I've previously said I have always wanted to that, I'm not so sure I want to do that with him. LOL He and I don't always function the best when we don't know where we're going (so it becomes one of those "Do you want me to take this exit?" "I don't know... what do you think?" "I think I want to know if you want me to take this exit... never mind, that exit [as we drive past]."
Also, re: road trip. He doesn't travel well in a car. He'll make it all of 45 minutes and he'll be sleeping in the car next to me. Sounds like boatloads of fun.
Can you wait like 2 more weeks? LOL
I can try! I will be spending lots of money that weekend I am sure!
I have the shopping itch too but I'm doing very good to avoid it.
I've started a separate savings account for our one day trip to Ireland. I've even nicknamed it Ireland Trip Fund. If all goes well we will hopefully be going Oct 2011 or March 2012!
MH uncle and his fiancee are pissing me off. He is only 10 years older than us and she is 2 years older and everything is a competition with them. They have lots of money and like to flaunt that. They know we are TTC so they keep talking about trying to have kids now too. They see where we do everything for Derick's cousin so now they are trying to do the same. He was supposed to come this weekend as always and they called bribing him with a trip to the zoo today so of course he went with them (we are glad he got to go but they knew we were going to be taking him in a few weeks). They just get under my skin.
One more. Sometimes I wonder how people can be so stupid. My relay team is having some events and a girl made a flier for one. On the flier she has 10 copyright and/or trademark infringements. And she didn't know. She even tried to tell me they WEREN'T infringements.
I very much wanted to say to her "Look honey, I know that being a massage therapist and all makes you think you know everything but I'm a lawyer. This is what I do for a living." I did not say it though. I was good.
For example, one infringement is that she uses the MTV logo in the background. Copied straight from their website and pasted onto the flier.

I had one of those about two weeks ago now and it really wears you down with all the emotions so I totally understand the being quiet at home thing.
I am so jealous! I am dying to go back to Ireland!
Okay... like a one-day trip? Or a "one day we're going to Ireland" trip? LOL Because if you're flying there, PLEASE stay for longer than one day!
I'll also add on another (so this is my equivalent to Mandy's "one more". LOL)
MH and I were talking last night. I've BEEN LOOKING, but honestly, there's nothing listed out there right now that I have ANY of the qualifications for that pays more than $10/hour (signifcant paycut for me.)
And I had to 'fess up... right now, if I were interviewing me, I wouldn't hire me. I've been beaten down pretty well by my current manager. I'm apparently not analytical enough and that's why I make mistakes. (Um... I've made like ONE mistake on something that wasn't a big deal in the past 2 years. And I fixed it within 2 days when things normally take at least 3-4 days around here.) She's said I need to slow down and think things through. Except when I do and have tried, I then get rebuked for thinking things through too much. (Like she latches on to what she's decided we're doing and I'll try to think of various situations/issues we'll encounter, but she says "Just do it."
)
So basically, I'm a worthless piece of *** as an employee. Yup... I can see why someone would totally want to hire me.
Two things...I'm sure I will be saying "One more" about a hundred times today.
Paula: You are not worthless. You would be an asset to any company. Just because you are beat down in your current position it does not mean that would follow you to another and I would bet that you would be an even better employee in a better situation because you will be SO happy to be out of the current situation.
No it'd be a week to 10 days!
I am fighting MH to at least get a quote for movers to move us. When we moved into our current house we had moved from a 1 bedroom apartment so it was easy. Now we have 3 bedrooms full of furniture to move plus all of Declan's toys, etc. And on top of that try to keep the dog from running out the door and Declan from scooting after him. I just foresee a nightmare with lots of broken furniture (read MH's short temper) and lots of dings in the walls.
It's a lot of money but in the long run I think it's totally worth it. So my confession is I wish I was pregnant right now because then I know he'd give in and get movers since I wouldn't be able to move anything heavy.
This was seriously the best money we ever spent. It made our lives sooo much easier!
That's what I'm trying to explain to him! I even have his sister and mom calling him to tell him that. We'll see if he budges after we get the quote from the moving company.
If you figure out how to do this, let me know. I've been working on Mike for a couple of months now and he won't budge.
