Hi ladies. I have been MIA for a little while because I will be starting a new job at my company and I've been crazy busy wrapping things up. I want to go away with DH for a couple of days for a little R&R before I start the new job. I'd kind of like to do a spa. I've been to the Norwich Inn and spa but it's too close to my parent's house and I really don't want to have to stop by for a visit on the way there. Does anyone have any other good recs in a 2h radius?
Re: short getaway ideas?
Ditto Ogunquit, especially this time of year it must be beautiful (I've only been in June and Oct/Nov). Cliff House does have a nice spa, but the hotel and restaurant aren't as nice as they used to be. I might rather stay at a nearby B&B and then drive over to the spa than stay at Cliff House.
Newport, RI might also be nice, I'm sure there are spas there, but I don't know of any specific ones.
The Inn at Mills Falls in Meredith, NH (on Lake Winnapesaukee) is really nice. The Mt Washington Resort at Bretton Woods is also lovely (think 1900s summer resort). I haven't used either of their spas, though, just the hotels and restaurants.
Love Ogunquit! I also had a nice time at the Highland Lake Inn in NH, but that might be pushing the 2 hour limit.
