My entire mom's side of the family live in Alabama, and sure, the recent National Championship game made for a slightly awkward family reunion. But, daaaang, I know even they would agree that naming your kid Crimson Tide is straight crazy.

I have absolutly no doubt that DH would name our son after Notre Dame or a famous Notre Dame player/coach if I let him.
I goggled LO's name before I said yes just to be sure.
DH likes the name Peyton, and even though I do love Peyton Manning, we aren't naming our kid after him.
Nor will we be naming our kid Hoosier or Wolverine
Well, it's not so much that it's a school / sports thing as it being the name CRIMSON TIDE, slang for menstruation.
My first thought too. That could lead to some serious teasing later in life. Reminds me of the line in Clueless - "I was surfing the crimson wave. I had to haul ass to the ladies' "
