Something to be proud of?
My town is currently #1 for census return in the nation! Silly but sort of neat. I feel like this means we get some sort of reward. Obama? You hear that?

Re: Something to be proud of?
LOL, agreed!
Aw...you guys followed the rules!
We're purposely sitting on ours until today...the day it needs to be postmarked.
I'm annoyed by it...why do they need to know if I have a mortgage or not...and then only care that I am "white"...seems silly
TTC #1 13 cycles, CP 6/09, TTC #2 1 cycle
CDing, EP'd for 13 months for #1, BFing for #2
Pregnancy Hypertension - inductions at 39w, I grow big babies: DD was 9 pounds 1 ounce 22 inches, DS was 11 pounds even 22 inches - both vaginal deliveries
As silly as it may seem, this is how they determine local, state and federal funding and political lines. This is how they determine diversity statistics, population density and economic strength. IMHO, the accuracy of the Census is more influential than voting.
That being said, I was also surprised that they asked so few questions.
1. It took 2 seconds to fill out.
2. It came with pre-paid postage to send back.
They made it as easy as possible for people, even slackers like me!
I agree with Aria, it seems like if everyone contributes, we can get an "updated", more accurate idea, of the true statistics of the country.
Me, too! I was sort of excited to fill it out and then thought... wha? This is it?!
Hahaha. Love it
They probably could have afforded it if they hadn't spent their money on printing and postage to send the postcard to tell us that the census was coming, and a letter reminding us to send it back (I filled it out and sent it back the day after it came to our house).
Double agreed!
