Charlotte area home inspectors
Hi All!
My husband and I are building a new home and before the drywall goes up we want to have an inspection done of the work thus far. We would love some suggestions on who you've used or who you've heard good things about? Thanks in advance!

We used Bruce King and he was fantastic. Very thorough and very nice guy, PLUS he is a member of "Independent Home Inspectors of North America" or something like that. I didnt want to go with anyone my realtor recommended, just in case, I wanted someone totally independent. He got us the inspection report that same evening, and also let us delay paying him until closing (the sellers paid for him). We gave him a check to cover the total, just in case, but he got paid directly from the closing attorney so he destroyed it. HIghly, highly recommend him.

Thank you so much! I looked up his website and he looks good. We also received suggestions from the builders agent about who we should use that they "trust". I see he has the delayed payment option....do you think he'd work something out for the pre-drywall stage since we plan on doing a final inspection as well? We should have asked them in our contract to pay for an independent inspector...didn't think about it at the time!
