Thank you for the birthday wishes! I can't believe I'm half way to 50 already!
I wish I could say I was doing something fun today, but instead I'm watching DH pack his deployment bags. At least he's here for my birthday.

Where is your husband deploying to? I never even realized he was in the military.
DH is deploying to Africa with the National Guard. I'm very thankful that he's not going back to Iraq though. I just have other fears about him going to Africa - 50% of the population near where they are going to be stationed has AIDS.

How long is he going for?
He'll be gone for a year.
