So my car is about to bite the dust...it needs more work than it is worth. I have a 98 Malibu with under 100.000 miles on it but it needs a whole exhaust system, $1300 plus odds and ends that are broken and causing car trouble...it all adds up to over 2 grand. DH and I are talking about getting a new car. Any suggestions? I have no idea about cars. If it were up to me, I would want something with 4WD for the snow but some of those SUVs are super expensive.
Re: Car Suugestions
The Suzuki SX4 actually has all wheel drive. A friend of mine drives one and he loves it.
My car is ancient so I can't recommend it but I have also been looking and I really like the Kia Forte right now. It's sharp looking and has a lot of features I like. My other picks are the Ford Fusion, Chevy Cruze (which actually dosen't come out until fall) and the Dodge Caliber, which I almost got until unforseen circumstances forced me to buy a used vehicle.
My Blog!
you could find a pacifica awd under 12,000.
we got ours for too much, couldn't budge the dealership to go down. but we looked online at them down south and they were around 12 and under for the same model and millage we were looking at.
I really love my car, I don't know why but I do. also the 2004 model (same as mine and the first year they started making them) comes with all the neat little options standard. take a look at http://autos.msn.com/ it helped me when I was deciding weather or not I should get my car.
Thanks! I'm going to take a look at that!
wow they each have their own? cute!!
I completely agree! VW's are money pits, IMO. DH and I spent a fortune keeping ours running and it wasn't even that old. And, like Munkii said, the gas mileage was just ok, and it always cost a fortune every time we went in for simple things.
Our car isn't 4wd, but I love our Mazda3. I would recommend (and this may be the Vermonter in me coming out) checking out Subaru's, too, although a used one might be hard to find because Subaru owners tend to drive them into the ground
