WOW.
"ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is accusing Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with a former 1960s radical.Palin was referring to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. The group took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol four decades ago.In remarks to GOP donors in Englewood, Colo., on Saturday, Palin said Obama seems to see the U.S. as being so imperfect that, in her words, "he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."Obama served on a charity board with Ayers in Chicago and has denounced his past activities. "?
Re: Palin: "Obama Palling around with terrorists"
Unfortunately, I think the conservatives on the board wouldn't argue with her statement.
I think it's appalling. ?
I won't disagree with that. I think there's more to their association, but their association is inexcusable.
?
I really think that the american people are sick of this crap. If there was more to their association, it woudl have been out by now. He has been campaigning for 2 ?years, its not like it hasnt been looked into by the Clinton, Edward and McCain campaigns.
To say he is "palling around" with terrorists makes me feel sick, becuase everyone that knows of their associations knows that they dont sit around the BBQ on Saturdays and discuss the best way to blow up buildings.?
?
They are purposefully playing the "Obama likes terrorist card" which is the same, at least to me, as playing the fear card. Im sick of it.?
Well. Okay, I think there is more to Palin's association with Putin. We need to explore this. I bet Putin is Trig's daddy. Yup. You betcha, I do.
Even the National Review has opined that the relationship was not a close one. What disturbs me is that many conservatives will ignore the reality of Palin's incompetence for the VP position but will believe this malarky.
{sigh}
Have I mentioned lately how tough it is to be a moderate Republican?
Palin's minister has made horribly anti-semetic comments, and her husband belonged to an Alaskan independence movement.
She's hardly clean of sketchy associations herself.
But, the same people who hate Wright turn a blind eye to the vomit that her minister spews.
Again, the hypocracy is mindblowing.
Obama started his political career in the man's house. I haven't heard an actual defense for why Obama did that. I guess that's why you have to throw Palin into a post that has nothing to do with her. Can't have a post without some Palin hate!
Thank you for reminding me why this board can be just as annoying as E08.
?
Um, Palin is the one that SAID that he was palling around with terrorists, so I fail to see how she has nothing to do with this.?
He did not start his political career at the guy's house. He announced that he was running for the Illinois Senate at an event at a hotel. The guy hosted a fundraising party that a bunch of IL Dem big wigs attended. Fundraisers are hosted by anybody, including people who are complete strangers. They did know each other, but only in passing.

By the way, I love you. ?Really.
Pville, as PP pointed out, this post is indeed about Palin, and without her, we wouldn't be having this convo.?
Now an example of bringing in something that has nothing to do with this post would be talking about how John McCain is one of the Keating Five.
So Obama knew Bill Ayers how many years after being a part of the Weather Underground? ?And now Bill Ayers is a nice educator, dedicated to education reform, right?
John McCain knew Charles Keating while he commited his crimes, and may have actually aided him.
Which one is more sketchy? ?Which one is more sleazy??
I won't disagree with that. I think there's more to their association, but their association is inexcusable.
Why do you believe there is more to their association and what additional information do you think is out there that has not been disclosed?
Whoa.....where are these anti-semitic remarks? I don't remember posts on this.
I see this as a post about Palin just as much as Obama. The news presented to us here isn't that Obama has connections to these people, it's that Palin has said it.
We've talked about how significant Obama's ties to these people are before. We have not talked about Palin discussing it.
I find it incredibly hypocritical for someone who attends a church with a questionable minister to go around bashing another candidate who attends church with a questionable minister.
