Hi Ladies,
I want to plan a big camping trip for Memorial Day weekend. You guys are welcome to join, of course! Can you recommend a great campsite near the Delaware river? We used to go camping all of the time in High School, but no one can remember the name of the campsite.
TIA!
Re: Where to go camping?
Do you mean the campground/park at the Delaware Water Gap? I think its about 2hrs from NYC. Otherwise there are tons of different camping areas within an hour or two from nyc. DH and I just got into camping and hiking last summer - we might try to squeeze in a trip or two this summer when Freddie is bigger.
we have been to Beaverkill. It's not along the Delaware river, but it is along the Beaverkill river! http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24455.html
Hi Jenn, growing up we've gone to www.dingmanscampground.com/ a time or 2 and loved it! It's in PA right on the Delaware Water Gap. Joey and I are actually going to the Pocono's (Milford) Memorial weekend, but not roughing it. lol We're staying at www.cliffparkinn.com . Joey doesn't like to rough it, so no camping for us. =( I love this site tho', 'cause it's not hard core camping. Each site has a running faucet and electrical outlet, along with a fire pit...at least that's what they had 10 years ago (the last time I was up there). HTH...
