Random question: Has anyone ever made meals or desserts with twinkies as one of the ingredients? I'm going to be blogging about this later this week, based on something I heard on the radio this morning, and was curious about your thoughts...
Re: Twinkies
My co-worker made a twinkie ice cream cake once. It was good- I don't have the recipe, but it seems easy. She just sliced them thin and covered the outside of the cake with them, it looked really cool. Let me see if I can find a pic...
Oh, nevermind. They were hoho's- Twinkies don't have that swirl thing going on in the middle, do they? Still cool though...
(from another CW's FB)
yeah those are hohos
This is a twinkie
Have never heard of or thought about a twinkie recipe. I searched online and found their site. there is a ton of ideas, Twinkie Truffles, Lemon Twinkie Fruit Tarts, Twinkie Fantasy, and Patriotic Twinkie Pie look yummy!
Oh, there's tons of stuff out there. I'm interested in making twinkie tiramisu, personally. There's even a twinkie cookbook that has a whole chapter devoted to meat. (GROSS.)
actually I think I've seen one of those cookbooks before. I seem to remember it looking pretty comercialized. never looked in it though. believe it or not twinkies are pretty expensive in AK they are almost $3, I never really buy them.
