stupid nest, just wrote this all out, clicked save and it wanted me to update my profile. Of course it didn't save everything I just wrote!
Anyway, you might remember back in February, I posted that my DH mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to the brain. Well, she's not doing well and DH is in a lot of emotional pain right now. He's a momma's boy to the core and seeing her go through this is taking quite the toll on him. He's not very good at expressing emotion so last night when he said that he was interested in seeing a counselor I was so happy for him! He brought it up twice so I think he's pretty serious about it.
Anyone have a recommendation in north austin? Maybe even someone your DH has been to and connected with? He said that he doesn't have a preference on male vs. female...
Re: rec your counselor (for DH)
I sound like a broken record because I rec him all of the time, but Worth Kilcrease is a counselor who specializes in grief and dealing with feelings about possibly loosing loved ones. My DH and I participated in a group for couple's who'd lost babies and DH really liked him. He is north-central.
I really love his website. There is a lot of good information on there. I hope your DH finds some comfort, soon.

I'm a therapist and I recommend Stacie McKenna-Crochet. She's off 183 near Oak Knoll. http://www.staciecrochet.com/
She also takes most insurances.
