Mechanic rec (PF, RR, N. Austin preferred)

I have a warning light I need to get checked out.

  • we always go to klingemann auto care center, but it's at the 1431/183 intersection, which is in cedar park.  might be too far north, but there is one at 12186 north mopac, just south of the parmer/mopac intersection.

  • My mom has been taking her car(s) to Rusty at Pond Springs Automotive for 20+ years.  They don't have a website, but the phone # is 335.6105.
  • I've used Precision Tune on Braker near Burnet Rd for years. If you google Precision Tune, they have great coupons on their website.
  • Great Hills Automotive just north of the Arboretum off of Jollyville.  Rick helped me when my car died (both times) and successfully turned off the check engine light, airbag light, and some other light that looked scary.  My husband took my car to other guys for comparison and they came out about the same but this guy is really straightforward and honest.   He called after each diagnostic and gave me a summary plus additional explanation in retard mode for me.

And he works super fast - which is more than i can say for the dude up in round rock that fixed my car another time it died - took more than a week just to change the timing belt and wouldn't answer my calls.

yes, i need a new car...just trying to get the last few miles out of it.. it was my first car!
