pinecone airfreshener for anniversary?
Looking online for gifts for our fifth anniversary next friday and marriage.about.com suggests "woody fragrances" and "pine scented candles." Nothin' says love like

Seriously though. He'll be getting the same "wood" he gets for all anniversaries (brownchickenbrowncow)...any other ideas that are wood-themed? (I am not getting him silverware...which is the traditional gift.)
Dear Bump: You suck.
Re: pinecone airfreshener for anniversary?
You said "wood." heh heh heh.
How about one of those dresser organizer things? Like, a place to put wallet, keys, watch, change, etc.?
Or, have y'all done that zip line adventure thing? That's in the woods.

Wood floors!
On a more realistic note, bonsai trees are pretty cool. My DH had a really neat one in his office before he killed it and I think it was around $30. (Gift from his parents.)
Ooohh, I like the bonsai tree idea!
To personalize it even more, I would get a money tree:
And hang gift cards to some of his favorite places from the branches.

If yall are in the house you plan on staying in for the next 30 years, you could always plant a tree. I know its kind of cheesy, but it would be something kind of cute.
Other than that, a wood sculpture of some kind.

I like the tree-planting idea.
Here's what I have:
wooden picture frame
wooden beer cask for making homemade beer
Wooden sign w/ your last name on it (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=42629972&ref=sr_gallery_10&&ga_search_query=last+name+established+sign&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title)
My blog about starting over, dating, life and all of its awkward moments.
thanks for the ideas, girls! I got him a personalized wooden frame with our names and our family "motto" on it: we may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
This is what I was going to suggest.
Awesome! (And I totally want to steal your family motto!)
