What is your favorite?
Cassie's favorite in indie-rock/folk with an occasional bluegrass tilt. Her absolute favorite bands and artists are the Swell Season and Josh Ritter. She also enjoys Feist, Damian Rice, Emmylou Harris, Ben Folds, Avett Brothers, and Sufjan Stevens. And classic rockers that are still rocking like Tom Petty and Van Morrison.
What is okay...?
Pop music is ok. I like Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson. I won't seek them out but if they're on the radio I'll partake.
What can you absolutely not stand?
Country music that is about singer's truck or the way things were when singer were in high school. Her brother loves this music and she like to tease him. BTW, brother ring tone used to be the chorus of "I wanna talk about me" by Toby Keith and he would sing along to it EVERYTIME his phone rang. Cassie was tempted to use it as his entrance music at the wedding, but only his friends and immediate family would get the joke.
What is your favorite? Lauren likes many genres...pop, rock, classic jazz, classical. rap/r&b.
What is okay...? Lauren thinks soft rock stations are ok (the kind she always sees on commercials). They usually just play so-so music selections.
What can you absolutely not stand? Lauren cannot stand country music in any shape or form.
What is your favorite?
Hudys loves almost all types of music, but metal, pop, and rap are her tops depending on her mood -- yeah she's crazy lol. Her favorites are Megadeth, Distrubed, Christina Aguleria, Beyonce/Destiney's Child, Lil Wayne, and Juvenile
What is okay...?
Hudys isn't crazy about country, but she will listen to it. Her DH loathes it, so she only listens to it if she's with friends or is listening to her IPod on her own -- she has like 3 country songs on her IPod.
What can you absolutely not stand?
Hudys doesn't like to Christain music or "rock" music that is that style. She just doesn't enjoy it.
What is your favorite?
Sheri is a BIG fan o' da Rock. Her #1 favorite band is Green Day. Other on the top of her list are Foo Fighters, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Nirvana, RHCP, the list goes on and on.
What is okay...?
Sheri is on the fence with Hip Hop (depends greatly on the artist) & Country
What can you absolutely not stand?
Sheri can't think of anything at the moment that makes her ears bleed. Though classical is not at the top of her 'like' list.
Music...What is your favorite?
Kristy likes indie, classic rock, jazz, and when modern bands cover oldies! She also loves her some gaga & muse.
What is okay?
techno/trance, the occasional pop song, alternative, classical
What can you absolutely not stand?
Kristy isn't crazy about anything that's just screaming & noise, rap/hip-hop, most r&b, most country. Oh, and gospel quartets. Her mom plays them in the car all. the. time and it makes her crraaazzyyy! Every single song sounds exactly the same and ends on a super long, harmonized note.
Music - Faves?
Angies loves music in general. She loves a little bit of everything - metal/hard rock (Megadeth, NIN, Metallica, etc), alternative rock (Green Day), christian rock (think Fly Leaf, Disciple, Chevelle, Skillet, etc), pop, classic rock, and some hip/hop. She hearts 80s music - especially 'hair bands' like Def Leppard, AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Poison, and of course some Bon Jovi goodness). She even likes some country!
What is okay?
Almost everything is okay...she likes christian music but not the super preachy, God and Jesus is every other word kind of christian. She much prefers the more contemporary stuff or rock.
What can you absolutely not stand?
Angie cannot stand techno. At all, and is very sad when her DH makes her listen to it. But smiled when she got him back by making him listen to 6 hours of bon jovi radio on pandora when it was her turn to drive home from their trip to Virginia. :-) Despite what most people think, Angie cannot have a wee bit of a devilish side to her.
Stephanie's favorite types of music are Classic Rock & Motown (Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, etc.)
Steph thinks some pop music is okay. Steph is okay with Christina Aguilera.
Stephanie can't stand most rap music. She can't even name any artists other than Lil' Wayne
but to her they all sound the same.
