Can I ask a favor.....can you ask Mr. Duck....about fill dirt?
We're ready to buy some now....and we are only needing it to level off the side of our house. I was assuming a truck load might work. My question is what kind of dirt do we get? This area will not have much planting....we will be building a stepping stone and gravel walkway on top of this dirt.
Re: ****Devil Duck****
Can I send ya a pic? via email? grrowl25 at hotmail
I'm starting to think we actually need to do some sort of drainage rather than build up soil...hmmmmm...
From Duck:
"Its hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like about 8", let them know they shouldn't have soil within 4" of the siding and trim per building codes to prevent rot and water intrusion.
I would call JV Dirt and Loam, also called JV Environmental and just ask for fill dirt, make sure they don't send just loam as it won't hold up in the long run."
Thank you ducky and Mr. ducky!=)
