Boudoir Pics.. what to do?

I got a random email the other day from the photographer who did my boudoir pics last summer. She's updating her online gallery/portfolio and asked for permission to use a few of my pics. I could chose not to grant her permission, or let her use them in her portfolio and/or a password-protected online gallery.

She sent me the pics she wants to use (you can't fully see my face), and I just don't know what to think. On the one hand, I don't really want "scantily clad" photos of me out in the open. One the other hand, I LOVED her, she was very professional, her online gallery is tasteful, and I really apprecaited being able to see a gallery of other girls b-pics before I did mine.Hence, I'm torn.

Help me think about the pros/cons as I figure I should respond fairly soon. Here's the link to her current online gallery.

Here are the pics she's requested to use from me (hope this works!)

I guess now they're on the internet (if this works), but I figure it's a bit of a smaller corner here!

  • hmm, I don't know. I hear what you are saying about liking her and appreciating being able to see some of her work, but I don't know that I would be comfortable with having those images out there like that. Of course, I am thinking of myself here, but your pics are gorgeous and I don't think I'd mind people seeing me if i looked like that in my underpants haha.

  • Meag - thanks for your honest thougths. I think deep down, I don't want them "out there" - where ever "there" is. I just hate saying no to people about anything. I guess maybe I needed reassurance that is was ok to say no.

BTW - I'm sure you would look fabulous if you ever did boudior pics. If you find the right photographer, they will do it well. I don't think I would look anything like this if someone just took a pic of me in my underwear in the morning!

  • i would do it! but maybe i'm weird like that. the internet doesn't freak me out at all. maybe i'm just naive.

    you're pics are gorgeous!

your name isn't going to be tied to the pics, right?

if not then it's not like someone could google your name and find those pics.

  • Exactly - my name certainly wouldn't be tied to it and you can't really tell it's me. But.. what if they came back to haunt me? Someone on my local pointed out that I shouldn't put them up unless I was comfortable with everyone I know seeing them. (For instance, what if I ran for public office someday - which I highly doubt - and someone found them and used them? Not likely, but I don't think I'd really want my parents or family seeing them, so maybe it's best to keep them private.)

I think I'll ask DH what he thinks, because I really did them for myself and for him.

    Ah, what to do.....
