Appliance Rebate?

Anyone else trying to reserve an appliance rebate?  I'm both calling and refreshing the webpage and both are overwhelmed.  Arg!  So frustrated!  The furthest I've gotten so far is being able to select what type of appliance rebate I want to reserve and then it craps out.

  • Yep, I've been trying since 7am, argh!

    The online system was supposed to come back online at 10:30, but it hasn't.  It looks like there are still a ton ($19 mil) of rebates available, though, so I'm going to keep trying.

    I'm wondering why the people running the show didn't anticipate really high volume??

    I saw it pop up on the google mail alert.  I don't know why it's different, but it has worked twice for me.

  • i'm totally gonna keep trying. we really need a new dishwasher. it keeps getting stuck in the last rinse cycle and wastes a ton of water if we don't remember to adjust the knob. stupid thing!

  • Ugh!  Definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over again expection different results.  That's me for the last 4 1/2 hours!

    I've even gotten so far as entering my information online for the rebate and then "Explorer cannot display this page."  I'm going to be hearing busy signals and "Due to high call volume" message in my sleep.

  • I finally got through (and was able to complete my application) online just a little after 12:00pm.

    Ridiculous.

    Skip the other pages ... you may get them loaded, but this looks like the page you need to get to in order to fill out an application.

    ETA: Maybe. Now the web page is changing. This is getting annoying!

    I got through the application form, but then the site keeps dying on me. 

    Oh well, I'll just be refreshing and dialing!

    ETA: Yes! Yes! Yes!  I finally got through online.  Whew, now maybe I can get some work done.  Wink

  • I am computer stupid today? Everytime I click on "Request Rebate" at the right or "Hot Water Heaters" at the bottom ... it just brings me right back to the original page, and I never get to an application.

    Am I doing something wrong, or is this just what the page is doing?

    It did the same thing to me 20+ times.  I think it's just one of the ways their website is malfunctioning.  Hope you can make it through!

    Phew! Thanks ... I'm waaay past 20+ times. Then the expression about insanity and doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results popped into my head. I thought maybe I was just doing something wrong, because ... I do that sometimes Wink

    Back to Refresh, Refresh, Refresh. Hehe
