I'll start. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone is clearly sick and still comes to work. Do you not notice me compulsively using hand sanitizer and washing my hands? If you're sick - stay home and don't infect everyone else please?
And related - it drives me crazy when people who have stuffed up noses snort back snot. Just the sound makes me gag. So gross. Use a tissue.

^^
I don't normally have a problem with that except when someone in another department calls me while they're eating something and doesn't put down the food long enough to say what they need to say. They stop in the middle of a sentence to put more food in their mouth and all I hear is chomping and talking with their mouths full.
That's so rude. I can't stand it. Even worse, though, my boss will dictate tapes while he's eating something. So I'll have to transcribe a court pleading with his chomping in the background. Can't tune out of something like that...

yeah that's really bad.
Oh, man... so many to choose from... and oddly, many seem to be people centered.
- People who can't answer a simple question without droaning on for five minutes.
- When people make assumptions about what I did, did not do, know, do not know, etc. Similarly, receiving blame for something I am not responsible for.
- Fake compliments.
- lack of accountability
- insomnia
- people who fart on the treadmill next to me
... I may add more as I think of them....
Oh don't get me started....
1. When people are an AW and post about how they dislike something SO stupid yet make it SO personal and then want everyone else to chime in so they can feel cool while trying to put down that one person...for no reason.
2. Gold and Platinum posters who only post negative things ALL the time. Time to get a hobby and put all that negative energy into something productive...
3. People who cut me off as I'm explaining something...then ask me a question when the answer was exactly what I just told them...before they cut me off.
4. When people ramble on and on...especially about themselves...
5. When people ask to use my pen then put it in their mouth
6. When I am helping a student on the computer and they sneeze/cough into their hands then continue typing on the keyboard I have to use...
OK I'll stop....sorry...
I was trained by a person who cut me off when I was asking a question, assuming that they knew what I was going to ask, and giving an answer. It made asking questions twice as time consuming because I would have to begin asking, hear the wrong answer, and re-ask the question. It was obnoxious.
1. People who don't properly manage their body odor. There is nothing worse than breathing heavy at the gym and being forced in inhale someone's B.O.!
2. People who type really loudly.
3. People who blow their nose really loudly/honky at their desk. Wipe it, that is cool, but if you have to blow like that, leave your desk and go to the backroom/bathroom. This also applies to constant sniffling (go blow your gd nose!). Better yet, like witty said, just stay home.
4. People who smack their lips when they chew.
5. Clutter (although my place is full of it)
6. Waiting (for anything)
7. Interior lighting. It is always too bright for me and I prefer to be in the dark.
8. Extreme temps.
I could keep going...I have a lot

Oh heck no....super annoying.
I've alternated my pet peeves things about others and things about me.
1. People that cut their finger nails or toe nails in their cubicle.
2. When I forget things that are important (this is happening a lot lately- I need some Ginko or something!)
3. People that wear their team's t-shirt to a sporting event when their team isn't even playing (this mostly goes out to Raider fans that attend Charger games).
4. That I am an awkward phone talker. I feel so uncomfortable and disconnected on the phone.
5. When people put the toliet roll on backwards. Paper should come over the top.
Guilty. We have a good reason, though: if we don't, one of our cats thinks the toilet paper roll is a toy and unravels the whole thing.

You've got a good reason to do it the other way! I would too if I had cats that did that.
Unless our air vent has claws, this doesn't happen in our house.

I knew it! Our bathroom is haunted...fabulous....
I'm the exact opposite; I always have the lights on and not just one in a room, usually all of them. MH has learned to leave the hall light on when we watch a movie.
I have many pet peeves related to commuting on the subway:
Can't you wait until I get off to sqeeze through to get on?
When we've reched our stop, get the eff outta my way so I can exit or I will run you over, throw an elbow, etc!
Your big-ass messenger bag is jabbing my back. Have some consideration for those crammed into this car with you and put it down before I choke you with the strap.
Must you talk so loudly at 8am?? Must we all be forced to hear what's playing on your iPod? If you value your hearing at all, I suggest turning it down.
No, I do not want to hear you sing/play the guitar/ preach the sermon during my commute, and I'm sure as hell not gonna pay you for doing so!
Ah, that felt good!
Bad drivers. Holy craap....I hate them. People who drive real slow in the far left lane, people who follow too closely, and people who tap their brakes on the highway.
Being interrupted when I'm talking (my family does this to me all the time.)
Sometimes I talk fast and sometimes a mumble. I get that, but when I think I said something perfectly clear and then I'm asked to repeat myself, it bothers me a little.
When someone asks for advice and you try to give some, but then they're all like "no that won't work", "I don't like that", and so on.
The people on the Pet Board....they give some good advice, but man they make me feel like the worst pet owner ever.
Oh geeeez. Where to start?!
People who walk two across on the sidewalk (or in a hallway) when there's only room for one in each direction (and then don't fall in line when you're walking past them going the other way!). People who arbitrarily stop and block the entire sidewalk. People who don't wear deodorant to the gym. People who see you coming and don't hold the elevator. People who get to the front of the line at Starbucks and STILL haven't decided what they want. People who talk on their cell phones behind the wheel and forget to drive. People who talk on their cell phones in movie theaters. People who text in movie theaters. People who are passive aggressive. People who are chronically late. People with college educations who still use double negatives in their speech.
And driving pet peeves is another post altogether...
Am I too easily annoyed?
Oh man! I don't take the Metro to work anymore, but I did every day for four years and I have a LITANY of Metro pet peeves. Maybe that could go along with my driving pet peeves list. :-P
Oh! I got another, inspired by a recent meeting at work:
People who make powerpoints or handouts for presentation, and read every fricking word to us like we need help reading or something. It's a handout, not a script!
*GRRRR!*
Stupid people. I hate it when people use the word ain't or do not use proper grammar. There are several things along those lines.
All these too....and LOL to the farts!!! SO TRUE! As if it isn't hard enough to breathe already!
-those annoying self-portrait facebook mirror pictures
-drunken rowdiness and excessive talking
-disrespectful kids
-people who keep their pets outside (why have a pet?)
My Blog!
I am late on this but here are mine.
1. People chewing with their mouth open. My Inlaws do this and it drives me nuts. Once I went and ate in a differnet room just so I didnt have to hear/see it.
2. People talking on there cell phone while in my office. Umm hello you came here to ask for something and now you want to sit at my desk and talk on your phone. RUDE.
3. People that have bad BO.
4. Farting in public. Mu FIL does this all the time. Embarassing (sp).
Thats it for now. Im sure there is more but cant think of them right now.
