In Charlotte for 2 days....

Hi Ladies, I will be in Charlotte next weekend and wanted to know if you can help me with must sees and must eats.

I am pretty flexible so I would appreciate any suggestions you have.

TIA

Mel

I think it's called University area? Maybe some place that's relaxed, casual with good food(I'll try anything once) and drinks. Site seeing-maybe a festival or something that says Charlotte. I have heard there's a Nascar Museum there but that's all I know. The last time I was there it was for a football game and we really didn't site see. Thanks
  • the nascar museum doesnt open for another couple weeks : ( there are other museums to check out though and also theater in town. try macs speed shop best bbq in town have fun!
  • I used to live in the University area. There is a great place to visit called Shoppes by the Lake or something like that. Me and DH frequently go over there to eat at Sushi 101 (I dont eat sushi but he does, I love their teriyaki dishes), when it's warm we sit outside by the lake. There is also a great restaurant next door to Sushi 101 called Lava Bistro, great place for outdoor seating also. There is a GREAT wine bar right across from there called the Wine Vault, we love going over there for a drink and to hang out (there's couches and stuff inside, and outdoor seating as well). Enjoy!

ETA: I just realized I used the word "great" 4 times in this post. lol. My vocabulary is limited

  • Thanks sooooo much for your feedback!
