Serious rollercoaster (the past two days)
This might sound weird, but I need to just write this out. Two weeks ago, someone from Harpo (yep, Oprah Harpo) called me about a subject I had issues with (women and food). We talked for a bit, and she seemed interested in what I had to say so she said talk to you later. Sounded optimistic.
Yesterday, I got a call again that they wanted me to fly out to Chicago to attend a seminar. It was tentative, but heck, I was SO excited. Never been to Chicago in my life. She told me they'd pay for everything..I was just so psyched, cloud 9, the works!
Got a call 10 minutes ago...it got scrapped. I want a pint of ice cream (ironic). Boo...

Hey, it's cool that they called, much less wanted to fly you out! And as pp said, you never...they could do it in the future.
aww, man! that would have been so exciting!
i'm secretly praying for a phone call from Regis & Kelly.... I entered their new mom makeover contest.
how awesome that would have been! Like they said, never know what might happen in the future.
Say hello to Ben and Jerry for me!
I was too lazy to walk to the back of Target for Ben and Jerry's, so I got a cone at Chick Fil-A instead.
I also spent $20 on pretty fabric remnants at Hobby Lobby. Nothing like sewing dork retail therapy, right?
